Object picker for colorization

We really struggle with the color editor. There are SO many colors in there that are super-close together that it is very hard to find the one that is actually used in the image in a certain place. What we do now, is download the SVG, then edit the colors in another editor. Pretty cumbersome.
Proposed solution
If you could select a (sub)object in the preview, and it would allow you to set the fill color, stroke color, etc, that would be much handier.
Alternative solution
It used to be handier, with only the colors that were used in the image being shown. Now it shows all colors in the entire palette. Perhaps it's easier to only list the colors that are used in the image, so as to make changing them easier again.
This has really been a regression for us.

Totally understood.
Yes, we will work on a way to show you only the colors for the illustration you select on the list.
So: you select an illustration, then we display only colors for this illustrations, then you can modify them.
We would try to keep your modifications saved (but that's harder, not promising yet)
Is this what you need?

Vincent – Streamline founder yes, keeping them saved would be very helpful. I understand that would be more difficult.

Hi Violet, thank you for the feedback and sorry for this issue.
We will try to improve this, but could you show us a screenshot of the interface with the colors, when you try to change them?
Also, which illustrations sets do you try to use?
Thank you

Vincent – Streamline founder of course. We mainly use the UX Colors one, I have made a screenshot of the colors in the color picker and the image.
As an example, if I want to change the color of the phone screen, I have about 5 candidates that might be that color (maybe it's me, and my vision isn't as good as yours ;-)
Anyway, would be great if it would be easier to know for sure that I am adjusting the color in the image I selected.
